In 1984 Greg Costikyan and Warren Spector wrote a game set in the crazy world of (classic) cartoons.
This... is NOT that game.
This is the loosely improvised jazz cover version. It could be considered a retroclone, except it isn't. In the immortal words of Tenacious D, “This is just a tribute.”
Moxie! assumes you know how to play an RPG, what kinds of things you would roll strength - I mean, Brawn - for (no list of skills or feats to remember!), a streamlined Powered by the Apocalypse dice mechanic, and puts all the rules the players need to know on a two page spread so you can get started in the time it takes a fowlus supersonicus to dodge a falling anvil.
The character sheet can fit on an index card, and the hardest part of making a character will be thinking up a good name and a motto.
Do you want to play some cartoon mayhem? I gotta tell ya, it takes Moxie!
And at least three regular six-sided dice.
